The suspended sculptural piece was envisioned from the deterioration on Solimanto’s spine. Lesions from multiple sclerosis, osteoarthritis, protruding and bulging discs inhibits her movement and causes adversities in her daily living. She is stigmatized by her disabilities in the misconception people with disabilities are not strong and not “Able.”  She forged and used an oxy-acetylene torch to create this work of art overcoming these prejudicial misconceptions with strength and pride as a disABLEd artist.
